Due to growth, we are looking for a new colleague. This colleague will take ownership on the entire deal screening process. This includes Startup Sourcing, Investor Sourcing and managing the match process.

Job Title: Venture Capital Deal Source Associate

Job Type: Full Time/Remote

Job description:

  • Perform market research to help identify new investment trends and opportunities
  • Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate opportunities
  • Grow your VC network, get insight in their mandates
  • Facilitate meetings between Investors and Startups
  • Build excellent relations with Venture Capital and assist them in their Deal Sourcing strategies
  • Documentation: summarize call notes, enter deals into CRM, manage agreements
  • Gather information from the Startups and use Rodller native tools to build easy to browse insight
    for the Venture Capital firms in your network
  • Research and talk to existing references
  • Research and talk with technical/business consultants to evaluate the Startup’s credibility
  • Conduct background checks on the current management of the Startups
  • Perform valuation analysis via modelling
  • Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong knowledge of Excel including advanced function
  • Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques
  • Ability to produce well designed professional looking PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements / Competencies:

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in the Venture Capital Industry
  • Wide-scale APAC network will be super good to have
  • Good stakeholder management skills and liaising with a number of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/campaigns at a time while paying strict
    attention to structure and detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills – able to exhaustively and comprehensively break down
    problems in a structured manner
  • Excellent listener, verbal and written communicator
  • Hungry to learn and hardworking
  • Organized, Structured and Meticulous
